Fancy Folds Blog Hop #12: Twist and Pop Card

FF banner bigToday is our blog hop #12, and we’re showing a Twist and Pop Card !
If you’re coming from the talented Tanja, then you’re already hopping. If not, you can find all the blogs list at the end of this post. You don’t want to miss one as everybody’s got some fabulous cards to show you!
Twist and Pop card are all the rage at the moment, so there was plenty of inspiration on Internet. I tried to step out of my comfort zone and try a new colour combo for a baby. There are lots of baby coming late December and in January in my family or friends, and I love to create baby cards.
Here is my take on it:
Shimmer and Shine - Fancy Folds Blog Hop : Twist and Pop card
I used the Balloon Celebration set. These little stars and the clouds are lovely! The front sentiment comes from Jar of Love. I like to mix stamp sets…

The Twist and Pop card is quite easy to do. It folds and open really well and gives an element of surprise to the receiver, that’s fun 🙂
Shimmer and Shine - Fancy Folds Blog Hop : Twist and Pop card
The sentiment comes from the Circle of Spring stamp set. It fits perfectly with a baby card 🙂
The “banners” were made with the Project life dies and the Little Letters thinlits.

Fancy Folds Blog Hop #11 : Pop-up book card

FF banner bigToday is our blog hop #11, and we’re showing a Pop-up Book Card !

I didn’t know what a pop-up book card was, so I had to “Pinterest” it 😉 Turns out it’s another fun fold card : when you open the card, the inside shows a kind of book in the center… how fun is that! 😀
Here is my take on it:
Shimmer and Shine - Fancy Folds Blog Hop : Pop-up book card
this card showcases the beautiful set Jar of Love. I think it’s a very versatile one, and I enjoyed playing with flowers. The colours I picked are Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry. Oh, and a little bit of Mint Macaron <3. The DSP is “Blooms and Bliss”.

If you’re coming from my beloved friend Tracy May, you’re already hopping, fantastic! otherwise, please click on the blog list to start.

Here is what I came up with: bear hugs for everybody !

Shimmer and Shine - Bear Hugs - Dream Theme Blog Hop : Christmas

I used Fa-la-la-la Friends from Stampin’up, with the coordinating dies. I love the festive fish lol, had to make it the star of my background 😉 The bears were coloured with Promarkers. The little star comes from the Totally Trees stamp set.

This is the inside. I like to create a matching inside, I think it gives a really nice finishing touch.

A little close-up to see Daddy Bear and Baby Bear in their not-so-ugly sweaters and pajamas ? Aren’t they cute?

Circus birthday

Hello!

Long time no see… I miss it!

Here’s a card I made for my daughter, who has been invited to a birthday last week, and the theme was “the circus”. So, of course I had to make a matching card 🙂

Shimmer and Shine - Circus Birthday

I used the colours (red stripes, blue and yellow stars) on the invite to create my card. I thought the cute lion with his little hat would be perfect for a little boy !

Shimmer and Shine - Circus Birthday

This is my daughter’s writing… she’s learning and she’s eager to write on her own 🙂 I’m so proud of her!

Supplies:

  • stamps : Lawn Fawn Critters on the Savanna, LF So much to say, LF Birthday Tags, LF Starry Backdrops, My Favorite Things Striped BG
  • Inks : SU! Real Red, SU! Tempting Turquoise

Anniversaire et cirque

Hello!

Shimmer and Shine - Circus Birthday

J’ai utilisé les couleurs de l’invitation (rayures rouges, étoiles bleues et jaunes) et j’ai pensé que le mignon petit lion avec son chapeau de fête serait parfait pour un petit garçon !

Shimmer and Shine - Circus Birthday

C’est l’écriture de ma fille… elle apprend et a hâte de savoir écrire et lire toute seule 🙂 je suis très fière de ses progrès !

I know that everyone in the Stampin’up! world will show you some cool products from the new catalogue. I would have loved to put an order, sadly I haven’t been able to for the moment. So I decided I needed to give a little bit of TLC to some old stamps, and the one I love but haven’t played much with was the Sheltering Tree. I don’t really know why, but now I have decided to showcase it 🙂

Today I want to share a card I made a few weeks ago for a very good friend, Val. She’s also a talented crafter and I thought I would surprise her with a card I made just for her.

You’ll recognise the lovely flower from Birthday Blooms, all in Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi tones… I made the stripey banner with the stripes mask. The sentiment is from “Best Thoughts”.
