Sleep countdown

Hi !

The project I’m showing today is a sleep countdown for a little girl who needed something to help her wait for a very big event. So her mummy asked me to make a sleep countdown.

Here is what I came up with:

Shimmer and Shine - Sleep countdown with Lawn Fawn critters

There is a little tab to open every night, to discover what’s hidding inside.

Of course I had to use some Lawn Fawn critters because they’re just perfect for this kind of project :). A magnet holds the tab.

Here is the scene when it’s all open: a bright and cheery world 🙂

Rainbow candles for a Happy Birthday!

Hi there!

I know… three posts in a row? 😉 crazy times, hehehe 😉

Today I want to share a card I made for a dear friend of mine…

Shimmer and Shine - Rainbow candles happy birthday - Stampin'up, Big News, star mask, Project Life cards and labels framelits

I wanted it to be cheerful because he’s truly an inspiring person. Happy birthday, Jimmy 🙂

The candles are from the Big News stamp set, stamped in rainbow colours. They’ve been mounted with foam tape and the “flame” has received a coating of Wink of Stella. The white panel is die cut with the Project Life framelit. The card base is made with a Basic Grey cardstock and I used the star mask to draw the little stars with a gel pen.

Supplies:

  • Stamps : Big News
  • Dies: Project Life Cards and Labels framelits
  • Paper: Basic Grey, Whisper White,
  • Inks: Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point, Gumball Green (retired), Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry
  • Stencil: star Mask
  • Embellishment: Wink of Stella clear pen, white gel pen, paper piercer

Thanks for visiting!

Rainbow inking & stencils

Good Afternoon 🙂

Here are two cards I made with stencils.

The first one is a A6 stencil. I inked it with sponge daubers and different pigment or distress inks, depending on the color I wanted. Sorry for the crappy photos, I didn’t know how to change the settings on my camera 😦

Shimmer and Shine - Rainbow & Sencils

The second card was made with a stencil too, but it’s just a border stencil. I’ll try to take a photo of it because I’m not sure I’ll be able to find a reference somewhere for it, as both these stencils were bought by my mum years ago…
