*** I had to change my blog provider and I’m still having issues importing all my previous files. Please bear with me, I hope to being able to put everything back at its place very soon! thank you 🙂 ***

Hello!

Welcome to our Dream Theme Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Mother’s Day” !

If you’re coming from my beloved friend Tracy May, you’re already hopping, otherwise, please click on the blog list to start.

Here is the little gift and matching card I created :

Shimmer and Shine - Dream Theme Blog Hop : Mother's Day

I was inspired by the Jar of Love set, so I made a real one as a gift 🙂

Shimmer and Shine - Dream Theme Blog Hop : Mother's Day

Of course it needed some embellishments, and a tag…

Shimmer and Shine - Dream Theme Blog Hop : Mother's Day

… and rhinestones!

Shimmer and Shine - Dream Theme Blog Hop : Mother's Day

Love the simplicity of this little flower… so cute!

I absolutely love this set. I have been using it many times and I know I’ll still use it as it is so versatile, even though it is retired from the next catalogue…

Hope you like it!

Dream Theme Blog hop #3 : Happy New Year!

14800898_10154607950732020_950912843_n

Hello!

Welcome to our new Dream Theme Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “New Year” !

If you’re coming from my beloved friend Tracy May, you’re already hopping, otherwise, please click on the blog list to start.

This blog hop had me wondering what I could use, as I owned nothing that said “Happy New Year”… so I put my thinking cap on, and took this opportunity to think out of the stamp box… hehehe

Here is what I created with Balloon Celebration Stamp Set :

Shimmer and Shine – Dream Theme blog hop : Happy New Year !

Well, what can a French person think of, when she comes through the word “Champagne” ?

Shimmer and Shine – Dream Theme blog hop : Happy New Year !

My flute is (poorly) hand drawn and I used the balloon filling to create my Champagne bubbles, I’m feeling very clever here teehee 🙂

By the way, did you know the Champagne bubbles come from little grains of dust on the side of your glasses? if your flute is sparkling clean, you’ll have almost no bubbles at all. How sad!

Shimmer and Shine – Dream Theme blog hop : Happy New Year !

Because it is (almost) New Year and we’re talking about Champagne, there is a lot of gold involved here. Foil, Embossing powder, nothing’s golden enough for the liquid of Gods! (Am I being a little carried over here? Hmmm maybe 😉 )

Thank you for visiting! you can now hop to the lovely Amy Koenders ! Show her some love !

Twist and Pop card are all the rage at the moment, so there was plenty of inspiration on Internet. I tried to step out of my comfort zone and try a new colour combo for a baby. There are lots of baby coming late December and in January in my family or friends, and I love to create baby cards.
Here is my take on it:
Shimmer and Shine - Fancy Folds Blog Hop : Twist and Pop card
I used the Balloon Celebration set. These little stars and the clouds are lovely! The front sentiment comes from Jar of Love. I like to mix stamp sets…
Shimmer and Shine - Fancy Folds Blog Hop : Twist and Pop card
The Twist and Pop card is quite easy to do. It folds and open really well and gives an element of surprise to the receiver, that’s fun 🙂
Shimmer and Shine - Fancy Folds Blog Hop : Twist and Pop card
The sentiment comes from the Circle of Spring stamp set. It fits perfectly with a baby card 🙂
The “banners” were made with the Project life dies and the Little Letters thinlits.

Dream Theme Blog Hop #2 : Petits cadeaux

14800898_10154607950732020_950912843_n

Hello!

Welcome to our new Dream Theme Blog Hop! This month’s theme is particularly fitting for me. As a matter of fact, I’m leaving my job as a Social Worker at a teen shelter in a week, and I wanted to create something to express how much I enjoyed  working with my colleagues, and meeting so many lovely teens. My job is quite hard, but so rewarding and I’ll miss them A LOT. I wanted to make something special for everyone, which would offer me the opportunity to hide a personnal message as well as a little treat. So… small gifts it is 🙂

If you’re coming from my beloved friend Tracy May, you’re already hopping, otherwise, please click on the blog list to start.

Well I’m feeling a bit emotional here, but I thought the little houses from the Home Sweet Home boxes were perfect to remind how much our shelter could feel like home when life happened to be hard for the teens. We had lots of fun together, laughter, cooking, and I know I will deeply miss them.

Here is what I created for each teen of my group (10) :

aaa2

that’s a whole neighbourhood lol 😉

aaa

(sorry for the poor quality of the photo, I had to take photos with my phone… I’ take more later, I’ve kept one little house for myself as a model !)

I’m making some for my colleagues too…

I used the “Home sweet home” bundle, and the heart embossing folder for the roof.

Thank you for visiting! you can now hop to the lovely Amy Koenders ! Show her some love !
