Hello everyone!
Today I’ve got some very exciting news to share with you… I’m taking part in the Fancy Folds DT!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the message the lovely Patrice sent to me, but of course I said yes! I feel greatly honoured to be playing with a bunch of incredibly talented ladies!
This is our first blog hop, and we’re making an Easel card ! I must say I never made one before, so I was happy to discover how to do it. It is quite simple actually, I wonder why I never tried. Something to do with my comfort zone, maybe? 😉
If you’re coming from Tanja’s blog, then you’re already hopping. If not, you can find all the blogs list at the end of this post. You don’t want to miss one as everybody’s got some fabulous cards to show you!
So here is my card:
I used Crumb Cake as my card base. I made a frame with another piece of Crumb Cake, that I die-cut with a square framelit. I pierced all around the aperture with a paper piercer.
The inside is also made with a piece of Crumb Cake, heat embossed in white with the background stamp “A world of Thanks”.
The fluffy flower is made with three Real Red pansies punched out and a Petite Petal flower stamped in Tangerine Tango. I hand cut it as I didn’t want the white edge to show. A pearl coloured with alcohol markers gives a nice finishing touch to the flower. The leaf is from the Botanical Bloom stamp set and die-cut with the Botanical Builder framelit.
To make the card stand up, I addhered a thin strip of Crumb Cake cardstock and another one in Real Red. The heat embossed sentiment comes from the Fabulous Four stamp set.
Here you can see the card closed :
Supplies:
- Stamps: A world of Thanks, Petite Petals, Fabulous Four, Botanical Blooms
- Dies: Square framelits, Botanical Builder
- Punches: Pansy, Petite Petals,
- Papers: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Mossy Meadow
- Inks: Versamark, Tangerine Tango, Mossy Meadow
- Tools: Paper piercer
Next up is Martha’s lovely blog: inch of creativity! Have fun hopping around!
thanks for your visit!
