Good morning blogland! The card I’m showing today has something to do with one of my childhood craze… I used to watch Candy Candy (do you remember this cartoon ?) and I wanted sooooo badly to have a pet raccoon… Then I watched Disney’s Pocahontas and my craze came back stronger… And then my parents went to live in Boston, Massachusetts while I stayed in France, and I hoped for long that they would bring back with them the little guy that sometimes came to visit their garden… But to my despair, they only brought me a stuffed one :-p Well I imagine that a real raccoon is more troubles than anything else, but hey, has reality anything to do with childhood dreams? 😉 Anyway, I knew that I had to have this little guy from Whiff of Joy as soon as I saw him. Better to have a rubber one, I guess! This card is pretty simple to make, and I enjoyed colouring Niki the celebrating raccoon with my Promarkers. The stamped image is mounted on foam pads, and I created a kind of pink frame to bring it out. I added a few pink rhinestones, faux-stitching with pink gel pen and stamped the sentiment… Quick and easy 🙂 Here is a close-up of the cutest raccoon ever : This card enters the following challenge from CASology : Pet and one from Addicted to Stamps, theme : Clean and Simple What about you, do you have a pet you would have loved to have when you were a child ?

You’re probably right Judy, we always find cute what we don’t have in our countries 😉 I remember my parent’s neighbours being horrified because my mum bought nuts for the squirrels 😀 But we don’t have any in our gardens in France, so we loved to watch them ^^ thanks for your comment!

Just noticed the little touch of glitter which made me think. A card like yours would be perfect for the Stamps & Glitter challenge over at STAMPlorations http://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/july-challenge-stamps-glitter.html. It runs until the end of July. Hopefully see you there. x
